About
Ingrid is a heterodox political economist currently working as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in International Development at King’s College, London. Her research is broadly centred on the role of finance in development, structural explanations for global inequalities, the political economy of development, and critically assessing the economics field.
Ingrid is also founding editor of the blog Developing Economics, and a founding steering group member of Diversifying and Decolonising Economics (D-Econ), where she coordinates the Association for Heterodox Economics, and she is on the Council of the Development Studies Association, among other things.

She has a PhD in Economics from The New School and an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, and previously worked as a Lecturer at the University of York’s Department of Politics.
